My life has been deeply transformed on all levels due to my exploration of fitness and my yoga practice. I made the choice to leave a successful and eventful fifteen year career as a television and documentary producer. I have lost and have maintained a 95 lb. weight loss for five years and I have become certified and teach various forms of yoga and fitness. My deepest passion is to share the physical, mental, and spiritual gifts of movement with others. I teach children, families, adults, seniors, moms to be, restorative, hatha, kundulini, and power yoga integrating guided pranayama and meditation. I am constantly seeking new information through trainings, intensives, conferences, and my own study and practice. I believe yoga and movement connected to breath is a path to mental and physical health especially when the body and mind are facing extreme challenges. I teach various types of group fitness including, intensati, a class where cardio, martial arts, dance & yoga are blended with the use of positive affirmation. I am a certified personal trainer who loves to keep work outs fun and engaging so you will want to come back for more. I ran in four marathons in 2008 and I am training to run the NYC Marathon
on behalf of the ASPCA in November 2012. I love all forms of fitness and I am available for affordable yoga, kick boxing, interval-training, water aerobics, running/hiking privates and semi-privates. I created and run a weekly boot camp in Griffith Park that can be found at http://www.meetup.com/Griffith-Park-Boot-Camp-with-Heather/
I was honored to be a trainer & group fitness instructor for The Biggest Loser Resort this year and I am thrilled to be one of the Glendale Lululemon’s Ambassadors!
